APPA 100 Year Interactive Kiosk

For this Physical Plant Management Association celebrating its 100-year anniversary, APPA wanted to install an interactive display that chronicled its rich history in the educational space. I designed the UI, edited all of the collages, and managed the development needed to display thousands of images from their archives. The display was shown at a trade show in San Diego and now resides in the APPA offices in DC.

Decades are organized into large columbs that expand when the user taps anywhere within a year

I custom-designed collages for each decade, weaving historical photos and document's from APPA's archive. Each of the ten decades had three of these screens. Each asset animates in on page load.

Timeline view of all media within that decade is dynamically pulled from the database.

Browse functionality randomly pulls tagged images from the entire archive, allowing for a more explorative means of navigation
