Prototype designs for a yet to be released smart speaker for the DeWalt and Craftsman brand families. The speaker is built with the construction trades and DIY homeowner in mind, incorporating an IP67 housing and companion app that syncs with Alexa or Google and can integrate services such as Spotify and Pandora.

The app facilitates creation of daisy-chained speaker groups, custom EQ and construction-specific skills like informing the user of inventory quantities, jobsite weather and making calls to staff.

I am the lead designer for the app portion of this project, working with a third-party developer within their hardware architecture and platform. This is the first speaker project I've worked on and have learned a lot about voice as a replacement for screen-based UX.
